What happens to the body when the mat us used?
Blood circulation is accelerated; consequently, the oxygen supply to muscles and organs increases. The blood pressure decreases and the brain releases hormones of “well-being” in response to pain signals. The levels of oxytocin and endorphins increase resulting in relaxation. The person using the mat feels the surge of energy and becomes energetic and lively.
The well-being significantly improves and different pain complaints regress. Using the mat reduces stress, relaxes and helps falling asleep.

After several minutes of lying on the mat small pits are formed on the skin that disappear within a few hours or after a few days in rare cases. Visible reddening is a result of the increased blood supply that on the other hand is a positive effect of calibrated Shivamata spikes.
